For the eyes. For the heart. For the ears. For the feet. For the soul.

Susan Murray - Advertising in Motion

The thing about advertising is that you never know when someone's eye will be caught. Yesterday, my eye was caught while driving on the Gardiner West with my two bosses coming home from a client meeting downtown. We had some interesting encounters on our road trip and a whole lot of laughs and as the eruption of laughter wound down in the car, a flash of colour and image drove by me on wheels.

Susan Murray - For an event they'll never forget, the advertisement in motion read.

I later came home and did some research and found Susan Murray's company is located in Toronto. You can rent or buy linens, drapery, napkins and accessories for events as elaborate as weddings to a backyard thrown soiree for added elegance and theme.

Below are some gorgeous images. My favourite are the "Giselle" scrunched up, tufted, chocolate brown chair covers.

Jonny Lang - Back for a taste of your love

I was first introduced to the above mentioned artist ten years ago when I myself was just a young girl in her early twenties. Jonny Lang in my mind was a mature man, long before his grown years. Only the truly gifted would be able to play, write and belt out songs with that much raw grit, feeling and soul at the mere age of 17.

A few years later would find me closer to thirty and him closer to mid twenties. I saw Jonny at Danforth Music Hall and to this date I think that was the best live concert I have ever attended. When we weren't rocking out with the cubs and cougars alike, I would sit awestruck, mouth ajar and stare at this musical genius, soaking in his unbelievable guitar numbers, both acoustic and electric as well as some accapella moments that left me with chills.

To say that I am excited that he is the headliner for the Kitchener Blues Festival, is an understatement and to top it off, the concert is free.

Here are a couple of my favourite earlier songs of Jonny's.

Lie to me is my all time fave.

Passion. Fire. Soul.

p.s. Fun fact. Music must run in the family as his sister Jesse Langseth was a semi-finalist in Season 8 of American Idol. Here she is with her strikingly haunting voice singing Bette Davis Eyes.

Natalie Spencer (Papalia) Photography ~ Triple Threat

Cyber space became an important vehicle for me while planning my wedding. I stumbled upon so many amazing bride(s) to be and we shared knowledge, thoughts, rants, vendors and advice.

I contacted one amazing bride after she posted some incredible photos of her bridal shower and wedding and to my disappointment, discovered Natalie Spencer didn't live in the GTA and decided that Ottawa was a bit too far from me to get together and brainstorm all things wedding. She kindly shared some tips and tricks of her camera preferences, experiences and favourite photos.

Now that I'm settled into my married life, I have some free time to do things that I enjoy. I'm a total amateur with my own camera but I am fascinated by the creative eyes of others which peek through the window of their lenses and capture pure magic.

Natalie's work is visually stunning, pretty and whimsical. The pink and grey tones of her photos bring forth a somewhat vintage feel and she always captures the flirt, fun and fairytale of life.

Not only does she take amazing photographs, she has started a cake decorating business and is genuinely a nice person who remains humble; truly a triple threat.

Here is a link to her site and some of my favourite images.

Natpink, thanks for inspiring!

Charlize Theron

To me, this South African born beauty is the whole package. She is a fantastic actress, a strong and beautiful woman and stands her ground when the pressure is applied to get married to her long time beau. We watched the movie "Sweet November" the other night, and I was reminded how lovely this woman truly is to watch on the big screen. I remember when I first saw her in "Devil's Advocate" and I thought, Who is that?

She reminds me of a young Belinda Carlisle.

Here are some images which capture her ever-changing look.
