Beautiful photos! I wish you were around 3 years ago when I had my son. I was disappointed with my maternity photos and first baby photos. Your work is amazing!
Thank you so much Elizabeth! It definitely is sad to hear people disappointed in photos of such an important part of their lives. With that being said, I'm sure I've disappointed some too (I hope not but that's life.) I just said today to a client that I used to struggle with looking at other's work, poses, post processing and I would get so frustrated and find myself trying to be inspired from their work....the photos turned out all wrong, they felt fake and in my opinion I was not happy with the staged shots....especially for newborns, moms to be and brides...there is no real staging needed as their natural bliss just takes over and that's usually what I focus on...the natural and real moments as they unfold. I wish I was around 3 years ago too! But hey, we can always arrange another shoot of some sort :) Happy Holidays to you and your family :)
You are so right, thats what I did not like about my maternity photos, they were very staged and all the same! They were done in a studio, with the same background, with one prop thrown in for a few pics, and it was done very quickly. I think it was just very disappointing because I expected more and had seen better from this experienced Niagara based photographer. That being said, at least I have something to remember my pregnancy by.
I would love a photo shoot with you! I think your work is wonderful and you seem so real and passionate about your work. I have wanted to get some photos of just my son and I for like a Mother's Day thing in the Spring. My family and I actually won a free photo shoot from another Niagara based photographer which we plan on doing soon, but all of us. So I would love a "Mommy and Me" kind of thing.
